NESTA is the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts – a unique and independent body with a mission to make the UK more innovative.

Participants in the ‘NESTA Challenge’ will get to hear about a new exciting education project – idiscover which aims to put learning choices in the hands of young people and empower them to raise their innovation skills so that they can meet the challenges of the future.

As part of this programme of work, NESTA is appointing a range of learning providers to offer exciting experiences to young people within its pilot areas in South London and Greater Manchester. These experiences will be focussed around the areas of enterprise, creativity and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

During this session NESTA are keen to find out about how handheld technologies can play a part in developing young people’s wider skills and broaden their perspectives about the opportunities and challenges of the future. We want to find out about interesting ideas that could be incorporated into our new programme.
